Holy Mustache!!!
You know, there are a two laws that govern my household. And my wife established these laws clearly, before we ever got engaged. These laws included:
1. Absolutely NO long hair.
2. Absolutely NO mustaches.
Since the day I said "I Do" I became almost magnetically attracted to both of these items. Looking for any opportunity to fraternize with these enemies.
I once grew my hair out to about 4 inches or so and Jenn did everything in her power just short of pulling a "Delilah" on me in the middle of the night, to get me to cut it. I cut it reluctantly, knowing I would never see that length again.
But until today I have never kept a mustache past the bathroom door. It is the law i have been most pharisaical in obeying. I never had the gumption to walk out of my front door and spend a day flashing the upper lip adornment. I never had the guts to stand up to my wife despite the disgust, and walk proudly in public displaying my hairy attribute.
Today was the day!
There was a certain sick kind of joy I felt while disobeying this law. And darn it!...today felt good. Today people treated me with respect I have never known. I felt admired everywhere we went. I felt like Tom Selleck. It was magnificent.
But like any sin, it is only pleasurable for a season. As i am writing this, my stache is already gone...it was only temporary disobedience. In the end my marriage always wins.
But if there are any men reading this, I highly recommend at least one day of freedom. One day to take back our manhood. One day to experience the glory that is, Mustache.

A Long Beach Larson Visit
Tuesday, Chris and Tim just so happened to have the same random Tuesday off of work. So Chris, the boys and I drove down to Long Beach to visit the Larsons and their new house. Its perfect! They have a huge grassy fenced in back yard, three wonderful bedrooms and a huge living room, an open dining room and a spacious kitchen, not to mention a laundry room and garage! I was green with envy! We are super stoked for them to be in such a great neighborhood and in a place big enough for their family. Needless to say the kids had an amazing time. They jumped and ran and got wet and even hit up the ice cream man. Good times!

Happy Father's Day (Country Style)
We spent Father's Day this year with the Cox Family (Niki, Jason, Nathan, and Noah). The day's activities included church, berry picking, tractor rides, homemade ice cream, a petting zoo, the park, and sirloin steaks. We had an awesome time. Needless to say by the end of the day the boys were zonked, and so were we. But we survived, and this fathers day is definitely goin down in the books!

Praise Jesus for Moms!
So when Chris was gone I was able to go up to Fresno and visit my mom. It was so cool because she had time off stored up so she was home all five days. Her and my step dad Scott spoiled us rotten! My mom got up in the mornings with the boys, made us food, did our dishes, helped with the boys for walks, reading stories, swimming, etc. They even bought us pizza and cold stone! Oh man it was a great visit. During nap times I read the word and prayed with my mom, chatted and swam. It was SUCH a huge blessing. Thank you mom and Scott for EVERYTHING! We are so super blessed by all the fellowship, company and goodies!
Reunited at Last!
CHRIS IS HOME!!!!!! After eight long days my man is finally home. It was one of the best things ever to drive up to church and see my man standing there waiting for us. The boys were so excited to see him. Silas keeps giving him hugs and kisses and saying "dada dada". It's really cute. Parker has wanted nothing but wresting with Chris. I feel bad for Chris since he's not slept all night, but he's been an awesome sport. The Oregon Washington tour was good. Thanks to all who were praying for him, us and the tour. Here are some pictures of our crazy family together again at last.

oregon, washington tour
please be praying for me and the band, we are currently in washington and are in the middle of a one week tour in the northwest. we are playing mostly bars and clubs and it gets a little weary. we are having fun but there is a definite spiritual fight going on everytime we play. we want the Lord to be glorified and for oppurtunities to share the Lord with some peeps. and of course we would love favor among these areas up here in whatever way possible. jenn could also use some major prayer, she is with the boys by herself for the last part of this week. they have been awesome, but you can imagine it gets hard with two boys by yourself. much appreciated. love you guys. thanks. chris.
