Praise the Lord Chris is NOT in a rock band...

You're seeing these pictures... need I say more?

Rock Songs

Parker has informed us that he no longer likes Daddy's music, but rather he likes ROCK! Here are some recent pictures of his jam sessions. He's got some serious moves and REALLY gets into character. He names himself stage names like "Teeth" and "Skeebo". It's pretty awesome.

Happy Birthday Chris Jenkins

28 years ago on Monday my mother in law spent the most rewarding hours of her life birthing my husband Christopher Matthew Jenkins. He has been a pillar of strength and my bestest bestest friend for 6 +years. He works hard. He makes me laugh. He's an outstanding father. And much more. I love you Chris Jenkins.... always have always will (spoken in YOUR Mel Gibson impression of course).
P.S. We were able to get away from Sunday to Tuesday this week out to La Quinta in the desert. This place is amazing. We spend my family reunions there but to be there alone was, as I am SURE you can imagine, WONDERFUL!

Silas

He may have been a butt head at the fair, but he sure is beautiful... and hilarious.

Santa Barbara Fair

My buddy Niki took me and the boys to the fair. It was a behind the scene look at the fair before it actually started. Parker had the time of his life. Silas... was a nightmare. He cried and screamed and cried and screamed. It was one of those moments in motherhood where you find yourself ready to sell your kids to the nearest gypsy. It was horrible to say the least. Thankfully Niki was a godsend with Parker and if she ever goes out into public with me again it would be a miracle! But here are some pictures anyway...

Beach Days in April

We have had simply amazing weather this month! Here are some pictures from the beach... GOOD TIMES!

Preschool Days

Two Sundays ago was Science Sunday for Parker's school. We went to a park out in Santa Barbara and there were science projects set up for kids, bubbles to play with (which is where Silas was the whole time until he got a massive amount of bubbles in his EYES!), sun baked smores, trails through the creek, and best of all swings with his best pal Riley. It was fun.
I also added some other pictures from school. Parker and his pal Riley in their "usual" get up at school... this kid is obsessed with firefighting. In some of these he is washing his "low bike" at the car wash that was set up and then at circle time.... his least favorite part of the day, but they have come up with the squares idea... he gets to pick his color tape for the day (needless to say boundaries make for a happier Parker).

Easter Day

Better late then never... Here are more pictures from Easter

Two Cute Dudes

Just heading out to the store and I realized they were dressed exactly the same. Super cute dudes!

LA Kings Hockey Game

Chris and the band played at the Staples Center last weekend for family & faith night. It was pretty awesome. We got to bring Parker and were given AWESOME free tickets! They were right behind the players boxes (and Vince Vaughn). Parker LOVED it! We got a puck from the pregame, a hat, a signed picture of one of the players. He told Chris when we were at the game "Daddy you need to show me how to practice this game". Pretty cute! We sadly forgot our camera so these are the only pictures we have and they are from Chris's blackberry.

Bunk Beds

We have done it! We got bunk beds, and for FREE!!!!! They were given to us by a sweet family at church, the Ernst's. The first night I couldn't sleep... what if they fall out, what if they suffocate between the wall and the bed.. and so on. But now we have some good rules in place and are just praying for the best. They love them. Silas feels like such a big boy being able to be in a big boy bed and Parker thinks his top bunk is such a refuge (especially since his little bro is NOT allowed up there). Parker had been praying for them and when we got them it was such an awesome opportunity to show him answered prayer :)
