Nick, Jess and Myles come to Carp!

It was fun having Nick, Jess and Myles Sunday and Monday. Nick went to Battle of the Bands with their parents and cheered and voted for the band (which from the post below you can see they made it to the finals). Jess and Myles came to hang out and we had an awesome time of fellowship while the boys played their hearts out!!!!!! They wore matching jammies, played worker guys, pirates, teamers (that's guys who are on a team usually a baseball team), read books, watched movies, jumped on beds, ran like mad men, destroyed our patio, and much much more! Jessica treated me to a late birthday celebration by taking me to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. It was SO good!!!! Total fun girl time while ALL the boys napped here at the house... dads included :0) I praise the Lord that we have such an awesome family, that when we all get together it's always so much fun!

final round!

More Wedding Picture Fun

Here are some more fun pictures!

Hillner Wedding

Saturday was quite the celebration! Two of the most godly people I know got married. Zoe and Ryan are now the Hillners. It was a beautiful wedding in Montecito!!!!! Zoe looked amazing and Ryan was precious to watch and she came down the aisle. Chris and I were honored to be there celebrating with them. Here are a few pictures of the occasion!

Crazy Sleepers

These boys are too much. They sleep crazy like this just about every night. Parker usually has a book over his face and Silas with his feet through the crib slats.

please pray for Silas

TODAY

LAST NIGHT

We got home late tonight and when we got home the boys were being silly and coloring at the table. Somehow Silas fell off the chair (or the table) and busted his nose pretty good. It's al swollen right now and bloody from both sides. We stopped the bleeding, gave him some Motrin and he's sleeping. We are scared it might be broken or something. More to come in the morning I guess. Poor baby!

Zoo Visit with Marcus, Matthew and Steph

We had the pleasure of going to the zoo with my sister-in-law and nephews. It was pretty awesome. We hadn't been in awhile and Parker was glad to be back especially with his buddy Marcus. They were pretty cute together. It was nice to hang out with Steph and Matthew too. He's not a baby anymore! He's walking and everything. it's okay though because she's going to have another baby next year. Yep that's right they are going to have five children in their home at one time. I admire this woman a great deal!!!!!!

Luchadors

Parker and Silas LOVE to wear this mask. It brings out the best in them both, wouldn't you agree?

Blue Candy

Chris brought home blue laughy taffys from work and Parker thought that it was the best ever. He called it "blue candy" and he insisted on looking at his tongue in the mirror.

What the Doula?

After thinking, talking and praying about it I've decided to take the steps to become a birthing doula. It's pretty exciting! I just ordered my membership today. I am hoping and praying that I get into the workshop that is coming to Santa Barbara in September. I have to take that workshop, a birthing class, a lactation class, read a lot of books, and have surveys from three moms and their doctor from their births. It's going to be a long expensive process, but rewarding and something that I can always have under my belt to bring in some extra bucks if I need too. I am totally stoked on this. Please pray that the Lord blesses this new venture into something new. And feel free to take me up on my services you prego mommies!!!! :)

Beach Day

Today was Chris's day off and the sun was gloriously shinning! So we decided to head to the beach for the day. It was awesome. Parker and Chris dug holes and Silas went around sitting on other families chairs and playing with their toys. The time has now come that I was hoping wouldn't... Silas turning 18 months. He's into everything, screams at the top of his lungs and RUNS everywhere he goes. This happened at 18 months for Parker and lasted until he was 3. Pray for us! He is amazingly gorgeous and wonderfully snuggable though!

hey check this out...(click here on the title for link)

I guess one of our songs was used for this website. Never thought one of our songs would fit with the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"...but hey, we'll take it!

Swim Lessons

Parker is his own man. We started him in swim lessons and he does NOT like it. Well actually when he goes with Chris he does pretty good, but with me... he wasn't havin it. It was an interesting 30 minutes. If it was any other thing I would just pass on it all together, but it's one of those life skills that he needs. He gets brave every now and then and does something totally awesome. And it doesn't help that this particular instructor is just a beach bum kid that really doesn't know what he's doing. But after the 30 minutes is up he is stoked to have completed it and is even more stoked when he gets to pick out a prize ( a small candy of his choice). Here are some pictures of the event. My camera battery was dying so some of these are from my dad's iphone.
